I downloaded Kubuntu 6.10 and wanted to install it on an older spare machine:
P3 1GHz 1GB RAM Voodoo 3 3000 Creative Ensoniq The problem is with video. It seems fine until X starts, then gets all garbled. I used F4 at boot to select the native resolution for my LCD and tried both regular and safe video modes with the same result. Does anyone have any ideas of how to get around this other than "use a different box"? :) I recall 3DFX not being super supported in Linux, am I remembering right?
