Fresh install...reformatted the partition.

Yeah, that's how I did it, too. I didn't want any old config files (from 9.2) 
messing with the new system.

I'm pretty sure I have the same uig/gid on the new system, unless Mandriva 
changed how it numbers its users (starting at 500 for the first user).
