Wow, my first post on this list in over a year, and I already started a
fight...

Perhaps we can put it together. Kin can speak about FOSS, and tie into
it with some of the benefits. Then he can point at the "Exchange
replacement demo" at the booth (I'll man it) as an example of how FOSS
doen't mean a loss of quality or functionality. Heck, I can provide
some tshirts for prizes even.

And on another day, I can do a CLUG presentation.

Sound like a good compromise?
Kev.

Will you do your presentation 6-7 times? Not sure why the fact that your
presentation is 3 minutes long in a 20-minute window is a plus.

Disagree. Who will the booth be manned by? Will there be people there
who can follow up on your presentation with information about what you
talked about? Given the traffic on the list so far about this I believe
the booth/table will be manned by those who have time to "stop by". They
may or may not have any interest or knowledge in what you speak about.

I think this is where we diverge. In a "linuxest" or other FOSS-friendly
environment I can see this as a good topic. In the basement of Castell I
see a generic FOSS presentation of three-minutes in length to be good,
but not as good as a "replace your
friggin-bajillion-bucks-45-minutes-to-reboot Exchange server with this
product" presentation.

You make judgments about me that you cannot support. Shame on you, Kin.

Agreed. I am defending a topic that I have no ability or interest in
presenting. I therefore defer to the whim of the LUG.

Well...from a distance, I guess L :)

And on another note - will someone be there who I can finally make good
on my promise to become paying member with?
