Jon, I agree a scalix presentation may be of interest, but not in a 20 - 30 minute period. Not if you want to get the details that YOU are looking for. My thoughts are to take this to the general meeting, as mail servers are ALWAYS a topic of interest, and think it would be well attended. Plus, I think it would be rather disrepsectful to Kin to tell him "thanks, but the time you spent preping for this isn't needed anymore." Speaking as a person who has been in that spot, and having prepped and done presentations, I know how much effort it takes to come up with a new one. Let's not just throw away his efforts because a mail server meets YOUR needs more immediately than a FOSS discussion. The CUUG open house is going to populated by folks who are well familiar with the challenges of email systems. Some of the CUUG regulars make CLUG "experts" look like amateurs. The point is that they are likely familiar with mail server presentations already. I think it would be better to discuss how their needs may be met by open source - from a business perspective. But I DO want to see that scalix presentation as well, but would expect it to take at least an hour to do it any justice. My thoughts.
