It dawn on me this morning that maybe we should be looking at a speaking 
panel when appropriate as in this case.  I remember saying this at the 
LinuxFest talk, the one thing I like about Linux and open source is the 
variety available and the one thing I hate about Linux and open source 
is the variety available.  As a durable from next months talk, why don't 
we try to document in a table a comparison of features as we see it and 
maybe identify comparisons already available on the Internet.

To preface the presentation, we should talk about firewall fundamentals 
and best practices.  Why do I need one?  Why not a Linksys box?  I 
remember two years ago when I learned that I didn't need a cheap black 
box router for each of my static IPs.  We all tend to use the tool that 
we first learned until someone shows us a different need -- one of the 
reasons why a hammer is still a very effective fine tuning instrument 
for network administration.
