I am trying to get various mail/calendaring tools (Thunderbird, Outcast (Outlook), Evolution) to sync up with gmail & gcal. I would like to try and find something that allows offline use & syncs all of teh different PIM components instead of spate tools for each item...but if I have to use a series of tbird extensions... so be it.
I have found a 2-way sync tool for tbird & gcal and it works ok...as well as GCalDameon...hvent tried it but it look neat.. and I am thinking i should be able to run off of my domain controller (windows right now with future syncing to linux based ldap) and pull the information form there. I wanted to get some opinions and such to see what others thought. I would prefer something cross-platform and it looks like GCalDaemon does this...but if i have to use client software again... no big deal. As always...open source is preferred but freeware would work too.
