I agree we should all order at once if possible.

Looking at the 7300 (the one I assume John is looking at)...

While the extra functionality would be nice, I don't have a need for it at
this stage. I would prefer to stick with the 7200, given its smaller price
tag.

Having said that, if it's needed that we all have the same board for
ordering or platform related issues, I can live with it.

With regard to future use on our robot platforms; I definitely want to see
the 802.11 option on the board, and need to order the 12-38 V dc power
module (or POE).

I did find another board at http://www.tri-m.com/products/aaeon/pfm535i.html

This board is $210 CDN and comes with a full cable kit. Not as many
features though.

I only suggest this because I would fully expect delays and at least a $100
per unit price increase due to duties and shipping if we order from the
states. Tri-M is in Vancouver and could ship to us in 2 days. Also, don't
forget that because this is PC104, we can add all kinds of bells and
whistles later with additional boards instead of having it all now.

I am looking forward to this workshop.... it should trigger all kinds of
tinkering.

Regards,

Andrew.

Same here. Took a look, and it would be stupid of me NOT to use the SD
options... So either a higher end board, or add the SD bit onto a lower
end board.

I think we should just group our needs into one order. That way we
don't need to worry about "Joe's" order being late. I also think we
should simply grab the same kit for all the workshop attendees. Mixing
hardware platforms will make for other issues we probably wouldn't have
the time to deal with... Just a thought though.
