Can you do a gnome reset for robin?

Log into robin, then do the following:

Ctrl - Alt - F1

Log into robin

$ rm -rf .gnome .gnome2 .gconf .metacity

Ctrl - Alt - F7

reboot and see if gnome works for robin.

HtH.
