Has anyone else tried: http://dynebolic.org/
ftp://ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/dynebolic/
?
They compiled and configured it all to work on the live boot RAM

The short version of my story is I needed to get the movies off of my
tapes (dv files) to my hard drives. I ran out of time when I still had
some file writes issues with kino on my regular multimedia workstations.
But dynebolic worked. It uses a nest egg on USB drive OR hard drive to
remember projects.

This was made by artists, for artists. Check it out and let me know you
liked it. I am not able to get back to my "masterpieces" till much other
stuff is all done.
