Maybe I've been lucky but I've been using N.A. equipment with
dual-voltage power supplies in Europe for years without a single
failure.  Of course - I've just jinxed myself but still that would be
the first failure in about 7 years.  I wouldn't worry about it and would
just buy a replacement there if I had to.
