I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on creating a Linux media center. My main goal is to have a dedicated box hooked up to the TV that will grab digital video from my desktop computer and play it on the TV. I've looked at a number of PVR solutions including MythTV, Freevo, and LinuxMCE, but I'm not sure which is the best solution, or if there is a better solution for my needs. I wasn't planning on adding a TV tuner card to the box, but that is always an option. I'm also open to suggestions regarding TV cards and remote controls. I'm currently looking at the Hauppauge WinTV PVR150 MCE w/ MCE Remote bundle from Memory Express.
