>From all the reading I've done, if you decide to add a PVR150 card, it's 
important to make sure the one you're buying IS a PVR150. Hauppage has been 
known to substitute another model (1600?) that does not work well with 
Linux - check the fine print on the box, and make sure you can return the 
card if it's different from what the box says. Also, I gather the PCI card is 
much preferable to the USB version which is not fully compatible.

I've been using an ASUS TV-FM card which has it's own quirks -  every so often 
it gets detected as a sound card and assigned as card 0 - which means I get 
no sound until I go in and re-edit the alsa configuration. This is 
complicated by the fact that I use a couple of distros with different ways of 
organizing the sound configuration.
