Hi Juan, Would you expect the same hardware to be MacOSX compatible? I gave up on Slackware nine years ago. Its OK for one of light weight servers (debateable) but on Desktops it should be left to people who live to tinker or control freaks. I have used a Linux Desktop exclusively for the last eleven years and Google my hardware choices in "advance of purchasing them" Everything I have is just detected (including my network colour laser printer) right out of the box. I have never had it so easy as I have now on U/Kubuntu 9.04.
