Just to be clear here... you did not get "killed" for raising the point
of about NetBooks. You got killed for making a statement that Linux on
the desktop "Sucks..AND Blows", and then failing to substantiate your
comments with anything directly related.
As was mentioned in THAT thread, the lack of Linux availability on
netbooks today (via retail chains) has nothing to do with usability, and
EVERYTHING to do with marketing clout (aka monopoly powers).
If *I* had the marketing clout that some companies do, I could make sure
that Linux was front and center in the retail chains. However, those
companies that are large enough AND involved with Linux, do not compete
in the retail space any longer - like IBM and Novell. They focus on
enterprise levels. And wouldn't you know it, Linux does VERY well there.
My thoughts.
