I've been using Debian Testing for some time now and I have used Sid in the past. I did, of course, encounter Sid's 'unstable' nature from time to time but not so with testing. The problem of old packages is history and I have no major issues of stability or bugs. The fact that it is a 'rolling release' means that you 'apt-get dist-upgrade' periodically and you never have old packages. ;)
