I'd guess Intel 915 graphics will not have proper shader support in the near future at least. With Intel releasing specifications now, it might be that the shortcomings of 915 could be overcome with time and the (partial) hardware shader support there is could be utilized. Intel 965 graphics, ie. GMA X3000/X3100/X3500, is starting to have shaders support in MESA git version (requires also drm git and xserver git), but 915-class graphics (GMA 900 / GMA 950 / GMA 3000 <- note the lack of "X" and thank the Intel's marketing department for the confusion) lack at least hardware vertex shaders and have less features on the fragment shader side. That said, I haven't seen test-shader producing any correct results on my GMA X3000 either, though some other shaders like the ordinary brick example and the noise shader from Mesa demos work. I guess test-shader has only been tested on proprietary drivers from ATI/AMD and NVIDIA so far? Astro-desktop also gave even more bad results (partially garbled screen), probably a driver fault too. BTW: astro-appicon.c:131: warning: implicit declaration of function ‘clutter_actor_apply_shader’ -> should be clutter_actor_set_shader? -Timo -- To unsubscribe send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
