In clutter we are only supporting GLSL shaders, since this also is what will
be found on GLES 2.x capable embedded hardware. Basing the API
abstractions on GLSL allows passing values to named variables/parameters
of the shader in a manner that I do not think is possible to generalize in the
same manner for assembler based shaders.
