It not really possible currently as we have to do some nasty duping
stuff to make it work. Looking to fix this soon (hopefully for 0.8)

Yeah may not be too much of an issue. Thinking of things GTK does not
support though, like raw EGL on framebuffer, iphone etc.

Yes you are right - just dont want to more seriously impact on other
maybe more common (in Clutter's case) targets. Needs some thought.
