No change here. I asked someone to test this on his system using Intel GMA for me, and he says that the actual time spent in clutter_texture_set_from_rgb_data() is about 50% more, while the CPU usage of the process is about half as much as mine (taking into account differences in our cpu speed). So this suggests the culprit may be (at least in part) at the rendering stage.
