Actually we are using clutter-0.8.8 first as I believed there were
issues with the clutter-1.0.

 

I did not get much time yesterday to look into what the eglGetConfigs
function was doing and why it could fail, anyone know?

as far as i know, clutter can run without X.
actually you can implement one directfb and one egldfb backends for
clutter like x11.
it can works well. we once implement such backends.

I once ran clutter on OMAP3 with DirectFB backend using eglnative
flavor.
