I would write and submit a detailed letter to your, DON, Administrator, and  Corporate Office describing the reasons behind your resignation....give them a 30 day notice.  If there is any integrity withing the Corporation/Facility you will remain employed as they certainly would not let you leave.  However; if they don't make changes then you don't belong there.  Remember the government can and will come after the lonely MDS Nurse when they are knowingly doing wrong.

I would go ahead and do the correct thing.  If your DON doesn't want it done correctly, maybe you could remind her that she may look good in stripes.  If she continues to give you hard time you may want to go to administration and explain the situation.  If administration feels that you are in error you might remind he/she of the regs and that you do not look in stripes.  If it continues to be a losing battle you have a few options.  1.  Do it wrong.  2.  Quit.  3.  Call the hotline and/or CMS.  CMS does have rewards for "whistle blowers".  While I normally do not encourage staff to call the state and/or feds it is necessary at times if the administration continues to act in violation of the law and expects you to do the same.  I would always try to reason and educate administration but sometimes there is no other way.  My prayers are with you and lots of luck.

I agree , and this is what I told my DON but she doesn't want to hear it.
What do the other RNACS do in this case?
