I'm a nurse, not an Activities person, so I took this right out of the RAP for Activities in the Manual:

"For the nursing facility, activity planning is a universal need.  For this RAP, the focus is on cases where the system may have failed the resident........,  The types of cases that will be triggered are: ....... (4) highly involved residents whose health may be in jeopardy beccause of their failure to "slow down".
.... Review of activity plan is suggested if both of following present:
-- Awake all or most of time in morning (N1a checked)
-- Involved in activities most of time (N2=0)

Subject: activity raps - rationale for why N raps?

Why does activity rap when a resident is coded in 1)  N1 as being awake most of the time in mornings; and 2) N2 coded 0 (average time involved in activities = most).  I don't understand, sorry if I am being stupid again.  I have read the RAI section on N and still don't get it. thanks for enlightening me (again).
