is it an old GT site, if so I would code as other open lesion.

Subject: coding section M

Hi
I have a question for the group regarding coding section M.
I have a patient that has a granuloma at his GT site (that was having
serosang. and bloody drainage). The area was then cauterized by the
Physician. How would you code this in section M.Would it be coded as an open
lesion other than ulcers rashes and cuts(M4c)Treatment was ordered to the
site(M5h coded)

Thanks,Kim
