I have been doing OBRA assessments for 5 years now. In 1998 I did do PPS however it has changed . I did take the "course" in 2003 thru AANAC and have one more class to be certified. However our facility just had a meeting and will begin having several meetings in the future to create policy's/procedures etc for our new medicare unit. We watched a video from HCPRO called "medicare made easy". They said something about transmitting the assessments "timely". Does this mean every day? How often do you all transmit PPS assessments? Also if anyone has any helpful policy's /procedures to get us started, worksheets etc. I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much.
