I have a wonderful LPN that works with me. She started with me I think the last week of August. She covered me for my 2 week vacation in September and did an awesome job. Now she is the biggest help ever. It truly depends on the person whether they are an LP or RN. Mine is exceptional, I don't know what I did without her. She is the greatest and appreciate her whole heartedly!!! On the other hand, there are nurses who could care less about the MDS and fill it our half hazardously just to get it done.

Subject: LPN's What do you feel about LPN's doing MDS's, RAPS and Care Plans and RN signing off? This may change as of April 1 and was wondering how many facilities utilize LPN's in the MDS process. What kind of impact would this have in Ohio if restaffing would be necessary? /---------------------------------------------------------- The Case Mix Discussion Group is a free service of the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators "Committed to the Assessment Professional" Be sure to visit the AANAC website.
