Speaking of HIPPA, the two people we have working in our medical records/health information system have no background at all in medical records. One is a former STNA and the other was our phone operator. They are in search of getting some kind of certification in order to continue to operate the department. Because what they do, especially in thinning records,ect. effects MDS, I thought it might be appropriate to ask on this board as to what credentials/certifications do they need to get and does anyone know the fastest way to do so? We are in Ohio. Thanks.
