You can also contact your State Health Information Management Association and they can give you information as to what is available in your state. The State Association can provide you information on the best route on getting started.   I f you don’t know how to contact your State Assoc. Call any Hospital and talk to the HIM Director and they can give you information on attending one of their meetings or what is available in your area.  Good Luck

Your med rec personnel should go to American Health Information Assoc. website

(ahima.org) for information on credentialing.

Susan, my medical records personnel have asked me about certification classes or seminars that they could take in order to be credentialed/certified  to continue to work in medical records.  Any suggestions or where to send them to look would be appreciated.  Thanks.  Sherri Jankowski, RN, CRNAC, Ohio
