this scenario: resident admitted with Geisinger Health plan. They follow Med A
rules and pay up to 60 days only. Resident's adm date: 1-28-04
five day : 2-1-04 SE2 RUG 14
day + adm: 2-8-04 RUG CBI
30 day : 2-24-04 RUG RMB DX End stage cirrhosis of live with
stage four necorosis. He was admitted semi-comtaose. He came around as you
could see by his rug. His 30 day was only coded 30 day financial due to ongoing
progression with his PT , he was slowly going from ext to lim. PT extended his
tx x 2 more weeks due to him doing so well. PT d/c on 2-11-04 due to max pot
achieved , independent believe it or not. He has pending d/c to home on
2-19-04. I have his 60 day + sign change sch on 2-17-04 . My question being. do
I still have to do the 60 + sign change ? since his is going home. thanks to all nancy |
