This is a problem at our facility as well.  No one in the facility has access to the Common Working File and it is a real pain getting the information on a timely basis.  We have to wait for our Business Manager to get the information from her boss at corporate and then have it sent to us.  We also don't have internet access at work either and this is a pain when wanting to look something up on CMS or AANAC, ect.  But getting the correct Medicare information is really a problem at times.      Perhaps the Common Working File has the information you are looking for.   Gail Neustadt, NHA ----- Original Message ----- From: Baker, Margaret (SNMH) To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Sent: Friday, March 19, 2004 2:11 PM Subject: REMAINING MEDICARE DAYS Our Case Manager/Discharge Planner needs to know how to easily find out if a pt that acute care wants to send to us has any remaining Medicare days and how many they might have.  Isn't there some way she can find this out?  Especially for pts who are also in and out of other Skilled Nursing Facilities in addition to our Acute Care hospital and attached Transitional Care Facility---and all of this may be part of the same illness with no healthy period in between.
