Yes, I would. Although the ADL sections for walking specify that the ambulation needed to occur in the room or in the corridor to be coded in section G, the section for unsteady gait does not specify where. Since the resident is walking in therapy, correctly recorded in section T, I would code unsteady gat.

What about the resident who does not ambulate on the unit but is on PT and T2 is filled in that they walk and when you ask the therapist they say the resident has an unsteady gait ? Would you then say the resident has an unsteady gait even if they don't walk on the unit or in their room?
