I have a resident that was on therapy but was discontinued due to Medical reasons with the understanding that when he was able they would pick him back up. He was skillable for nursing due to wound care, new AKA, debility, declines in ADLS, pneumonia, new use of O2 and weaning attempts. I had set his OMRA for 4/2, day 10. On 3/31 when I reviewed his medical record and talked to the staff, he is no longer skilled unless therapy picks him back up. I talked to therapy and they are not going to pick him back up due to his cognitive ability. His wound has healed and we are are no longer doing treatments. We have been unable to wean his o2.  We are going to cut his Medicare today 4/1.
My confusion is do we still have to do the OMRA? Does Rehab turn in the level through 3/31 and we never use a nursing RUG?
Thanks
Tanya
