You only do a SCSA when therapy restarts IF the resident meets the criteria for Significant Change. Why did the FI deny? Did they not think that the therapy was necessary? Did they think there were no skilled services after therapy ended the first time? Not doing a SCSA should not be a reason for denial.

We had a resident on Med A when we did a 30 day then an OMRA; then therapy picked him back up before his 60 day. Should we have done a sig. change when therapy picked him back up or what? He's being denied by our FI. Any responses would be of help, thanks.
