What do you do when a resident is unhappy with a
new roommate (but has been unhappy anyway for a long time), and is stating she
is leaving? Her family is here & state they cannot care for her (she
is early 60's, right AKA, dialysis, refuses to care for herself at
all).... she has said she is calling her lawyer & a cab and she is
leaving... Do we let her go & call DHR or what? I don't think
the MD has been called yet. I am just here late doing care plans, and the
DON has been called back in for this, but we are unsure of what to do. Is
the Ombudsman available now? Any advice?
