She should be coded a "1" because her paralysis
interferes with her daily functioning (particularly with ADL's) and puts her at
risk for inury. I am getting my info from the MDS users manual.

I have a resident with a recent
CVA. She has total L side paralysis. I have coded her as 1/1 for arm, leg
and hand. My therapy dept tells me she should be coded as a 0/1
because she has full passive ROM of those extremities. Can anyone
clarify coding this sec. for me? Thank you in
