Nathan.   Thank you for your response and I am glad I asked because as you pointed out I would still need to do the 60 day assessment as she remains skilled as well as doing the OMRA. I don't know where my brain was at but sure am glad there are others around to keep me doing what I need to be doing.  Again thank you.  I will be doing the OMRA on 4/19/04 as that will be day 10 for the OMRA and day 63 for the 60 day.

Since the ORMA will be taking the place of the 60 Day, you just make sure the OMRA has an ARD on or before day 64 AND 8-10 days after the therapy is D/Cd.

If I am counting right, that means it needs to be between 4/17/04 and 4/20/04.

Subject: OMRA

Question for the group.  I have a res in an observation period with ARD of 4/11/04 for her 60 day assessment.  Day 60 isn't until 4/16/04.  Therapies are d/cing from skilled on 4/9/04 but she will remain skilled due to a surgical wound that dehisced and is getting daily dressing changes with weekly MD visits.  It is my understanding that I would not need to do the 60 day assessment as therapies will be done prior to her actual day 60 but that I will need to do an OMRA assessment between 8-10 days after last day of therapies to reset to a rehab rug level.  I just want verification that this is what others would do.  Thanks and Have a great Easter everyone!   Janice, BSN, RAC-C
