You can count orders obtained on Admission as long as they were additional orders that were obtained due to an unexpected change/deterioration in condition or injury are considered as new or altered treatment orders and should be counted as a day of order changes. Seee page 3-205 of the RAI manual. ron -----Original Message----- From: Patricia Whitcomb [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, April 15, 2004 1:22 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Dr Orders When to count The answer would be 6. However, make sure that none of them are on 1/1 as that is the day of admission & doesn't count. When counting DR orders for the 14 day assessment do I back track to 01/01 repeating the Dr orders from the 5 day or do I only back track to 01/06 Would the answer on the 14 day assessment be 3 or 6? We think the answer is 6 Christine Richardson LPN/CRNAC Nursing Assessment Coordinator NOTE: This e-mail message may contain information that is privileged, confidential, and exempt from disclosure.
