I have to disagree....could count the may shower if the res was restricted to not showering before due to an open surgical wound, and the may go out on pass is needed if they are a skilled res so I would also count that one as you need to have an MD order for a snf res to go out on pass.

I would only count the "may ambulate" from your questions and I would only count that one IF the resident had been on ambulation restrictions and would now be allowed to ambulate.  The other scenarios do not really require a physician's order so should not be counted on the MDS.

Would you count an order that states "may go out on pass" ,"may ambulate", "family may bring food for resident" or "may shower"?
