My mother broke her hip at a family reunion in the suburbs of Little Rock, Arkansas in June and Andrew and I flew out to be with her while she underwent surgery and acute rehabilitation. She is home now in California and doing quite well. I want to especially thank Rob and his contacts in Little Rock for locating a perfect hotel for us. I took my 10 year-old son, Andrew, with me on this trip, much to the delight of his grandmother. However, while I was gone, my husband, Mark, had further heart problems. His defibrillator went off and I received an emergency call on my cell phone from my Episcopal minister who was in the hospital's emergency room with Mark. Mark is fine now, but it was extra drama that we did not need. When I finally got home I had a bad fall that resulted in a sprained knee and a series of MRIs. New!
