HI Moe,
I haven't been posting lately either for we have been so busy in getting our house back together again from last year's hurricane ivan and by the time i get onto the computer it is so late..but to answer your question yes!!! I have major memory lapses, my doctor said this is a common thing for people on Gleevec.  I was diagnosed a month after you and i am on 800mg.  No other side effects anymore, excpet for the now and again fatigue and of course memory loss.  I write things down alot now so i won't forget.  I also noticed more anxiety accurs over things that i never would get upset over before.....but you know you learn how to deal with it!!!
 
So don't worry about forgetting it is nothing unusual !!! If i am not mistaken, they were using Gleevec for Alzhiemer which i still can't understand how...

I end up playing the description game in order to remember the name of the item. It is so embarracing and annoying. I started on Gleevec in 2003 and now take 600 mg./day. I have the other common side effects too. I don't post often but would like imput on this question. Thank you for your help.
