Hi Dave,

No u aren't the only one...i have noticed in the past 2-1/2 years I have been doing the samething..  My memory is awful now...it makes u wonder though...i know Gleevec is great but I am beginning to wonder the effects it is happening on our brains  someone mentioned also thinking of one word and saying another I do that all the time also..I even mentioned it to my doctor last year that i had trouble concentrating and I couldn't sit and do one task unless I concentrated very hard and made myself finish.  So it isn't old age, it is the good old golden pill!!!!

Well I have a great story about memory lapse...now this is probably the best one yet.  Beginning of July, a hurricane was heading our way again "Denise", anyway my car had been in the shop and i had rented a car for the weekend in case the storm did come and I would have been without a car, for my husband has a 69' Camaro which did survive Ivan and I didn't want to chance driving that.  Anyway that week I was driving the camaro until I rented the car.  I had gone to the bank that day with the twins (now in the past few months our crime rate here has gone sky rocket up, even as far as a carjacking) have to give these details so u can understand what this is leading up to.  Anyway, got out of the car went into the bank and when I came out "I couldn't find the car" now in my mind I was driving the Black Camaro, asked the security guard at the bank (who thank goondess is employed by us) if he had seen the car, he walks around couldn't find it, by then I am hysterical thinking that someone carjacked the car with the twins...anyway I started calling 911, and then realized "I rented a car" which was gray..so of course we can blame it on the Gleevec for a MAJOR MEMORY LOSS...now stop killing yourself laughing!!!

So top that one now!!!

Love Penny
Take care..

Hi Pat

I have had the same problem also, I've been on Glleevec for over 5 years.  My wife and family think it's old age because I just turned 66 the end of July.  One thing that's been troubling me is my nerves, everything brothers me, and I go off the handle.  I never was that way before.  Some of the simple things drive me crazy.  Finger prints on the walls or window glass, people dropping things on the carpet after I just vacuumed.  People taking things out and not replacing them back where they find them.  I have been nitpicking about everything.  Anyone else doing the same thing?  One good thing, my blood work from last Wed. came back with everything  AOK.
