I feel for you and what you are going through. You must be terrified but remember that CML is a slow growing cancer and your son has time to make the right decisions and explore all his options. There are good centers within driving distance....Vanderbilt in Nashville would be one. A little further away would be Washington Univ. in St. Louis where one person on the board here goes. Why isn't the doctor trying to get him into a trial? Definitely, he needs a second opinion.
