Anjana: Thank you for your reply. So far, from what I understand, this is how they've been doing my tests. The first year they did a BMB & BMA every three months for the first year, then went to every six momths and now after almost three years, it's once a year. But, I go for blood work & dr.'s visit every four months beginning the second year into the CML & Gleevec. And, after all the discussions you, Trey, & Mike have had since I joined our group, I've learned quite a lot. So, when they sent me my last results, I was able to "sort of" figure out the test results. I also went back and looked at them recently and saw the word "quantitative" on the PCR tests & remembered you guys' discussion and knew this had something to do with the results as well. Not sure what it was, but just remembered your discussion. :>) Also, I have a lady friend who is an RN that comes to the church where I go & I always take my CBC results and she looks them over and gives me more information than I normally get from the doc. visits. :>) She told me the same thing you did about the HGB, that if it dropped below 10 they sometimes like to give transfusion, but I also remembered the first doc I liked so well up where I go mentioned Procrit once when I was seeing him.....they could give that if needed. Anyway, I have the last three CBC count results to compare & it sure is funny to see how the counts go up and down in some areas. In March, the HGB was 11.1. then in July it came up to 11.3 but in Oct. it droped to 10.9. RBC's did the same....March, 3.31....July, 3.40....Oct., 3.34. Thanks, again Anjana.
