I would follow the advice of his specialist. Immune systems of people with CML work well, especially if in good remission and blood counts are close to normal. I would certainly get a flu shot, as I do each year. Here is some info on the vaccines you mentioned (by the way, there is no vaccine for Hepatitis C, only for Hepatitis A and B):
