Richard, Could you please tell me how you came to take a gleevec vacation? I am having some severe side effects to the point that I would consider another one. I took one for 10 weeks and then returned to 300 mg gleevec. I changed oncologists and he wants me back on 400 mg. All the symptoms and more are returning.... are you in a trial or is this just a decision you made with your oncologist? I would be interested in how long you plan to continue and what they test for in the interim to monitor you. Thanks in advance for your input. Barb S.
