Rebecca,

I have gone from 600 mg (started in 1999) down to 400 mg this past Dec. My
PCR was <.01% and the doctor thought it would be safe to try the reduction.
I was having problems with the acid making me sick of my stomach and I have
definitely felt better. I will have a BMA in June to determine if the
changed dosage is holding my molecular remission. I haven't seen much info
on reduced dosages and believe I am an experiment in progress. I'll report
to the group about my June results are completed. Let me know if you learn
anything else.

Thanks,

Gay Bratton

Has anyone gone from 800mg down to 600mg? I've been advised that a
reduction can be correlated with a loss of efficacy of the drug which can
lead to relapse. Has anyone had this experience?

Also, does anyone know if there's a correlation between the patient's weight
and the amount of Gleevec necessary to be effective?

Thanks, Rebecca
