Hi Group, I started Gleevec the 5th of Feb. 2000 with 4 pills each day, I was in a Novartis sponsored study out of Northwestern University Hosp in Chicago. I started to get the rash and they did not know what to make of it. They gave me med's to apply to the rash and it helped somewhat. But after a month or so it went away. They changed my med's to 3 pills each day which I have been on all these years. I was cancer free in less then 6 months. I have all or most of the side effects that everyone else has, you just live with them, what other option to we have. It's like my wife it's a head-ache and has to take 2 Aleve for it when I can take only 1 and it does the same for me. Each person is different. I asked them about going back on 4 pills but they told to keep taking the 3 pills. I don't know, I guess time will tell. That's my input. Greenie Springfield, MO.
