I was diagnosed in 2000 and reached ZERO in July 2001. I started on 400mg of Gleevec a day (on the study) and I truly cannot remember when they lowered my dose to 300.mg a day. Maybe in the 2nd year....Anyway, I have been fine and am still in complete remission with no sign of the bad guys. ==================================== I wrote about thrombocytopenia earlier in January. When my platelets plummeted to ONE on Jan. 1st of this year, I was given a BMB and assured that my CML was still completely in check. All the fuss was caused by a lupus flare-up. Five infusions of platelets made no difference...2 infusions of IVIg ...no difference.... Only Prednisone stopped the problem, and my platelets are slowly on the rise again now, and I am no longer so woefully anemic as I was. No kidding, I have had way more trouble with lupus than with CML! Angie
