I read posts every day but very seldom write - but now I have a question and after Jim being diagnosed 9 years ago you would think I know most of the answers but I don't. Jim's FISH test results in January, 2008, read: The FISH study showed evidence of a BCR/ABL1 Philadelphia (9;22)Translocation. Fusion signals were observed in 31% of interphase cells examined. In his April, 2008, test it said that fusion signals were observed in 67% of interphase cells examined. We know Jim has been positive for CML for a long time but does this mean it is getting worse? I asked his doctor and he said it was nothing to worry about at this time as long as his white count is normal - which it is. He had another FISH test yesterday but we won't know the results for a couple weeks. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
