I am interested in all the experiences people have had in addressing the problem of leg and hand/finger cramping. I've posted about this before since I had terrible leg cramps during the first two years on Gleevec. Then my husband, bless him, who is a pharmacist, remembered an older drug that used to be prescribed for leg cramps and he had our internest write a scrip for it: Pletal, or its generic form, Cilostazol. Within a couple of weeks, the leg cramps were gone. I told my oncologist about this and she is writing Cilostazol for her patients with bad leg and hand cramps. The only problem is, the drug does not work for everyone: About a third of the people who try it see no improvement. But it's worth a try if the cramping is really bad. BTW, the Italians are correct, the quick rush of steam under pressure releases less by-products of coffee than the slower perk or drip methods. As for being lactose-intolerant...that's a huge problem in the general population which is why so much Lactaid or other enzyme blockers of that sort are sold. My husband's entire family suffers from lactose intolerance and the amount of enzyme blockers they consume is incredible. Vivi
