I have a purely "treat the symptom" suggestion. Since these rashes are (I think) essentially allergic reactions why not try Benadryl Gel (lotion) on them? I have a persistent rash unrelated to Gleevec that they can't cure but I control it by rotating treatments including Benadryl Gel to reduce the redness and irritation by blocking the histamine.
